Summertime is right around the corner, and with it comes LifeCare Alliance’s camp for youths with diabetes, Camp Hamwi. With overnight and day camp options, Camp Hamwi fosters independence for young people with diabetes as they learn to manage their disease in a safe and fun environment.
Campers leave Camp Hamwi empowered for future success in preventing poor health outcomes related to their diabetes. Many of them also make connections with other youths living with diabetes, which is something they may not currently have in their daily lives at home and at school.
At Camp Hamwi, campers can enjoy the excitement of summer camp with horseback riding, archery, and more all while under the supervision of staff trained to manage diabetes. Find out more and register here.
