In a 1993 speech, President George H.W. Bush spoke about volunteerism, encouraging people to participate in activism and hands-on involvement. He described volunteers as “ordinary people who reach beyond themselves to touch the lives of those in need, bringing hope and opportunity, care, and friendship.” This is the essence of Being There Matters™. And our over 7,800 volunteers embody this every day!
From delivering meals 365 days a year to serving seniors at our dining centers, and from supporting cancer clients in their treatment to teaching youths how to handle their diabetes, the volunteers of LifeCare Alliance are MORE than a volunteer! They are the lifeline to many of our services. We could not do what we do and take all clients without a waiting list without our volunteers.
While we are thankful every month, April is National Volunteer Month, and we take this time to recognize our volunteers. If you volunteer with us any amount, we invite you to celebrate with us at one of our volunteer appreciation events. As a vital part of LifeCare Alliance, we want to thank you for all you do.
We hope to see you at one of our annual volunteer appreciation events. Please click here to RSVP so we can plan for your attendance.
