LifeCare Alliance is hiring full-time and part-time Food Service Workers responsible for portioning, plating, sealing and packing meals, and following standard food service guidelines. Responsible for completing other departmental and agency duties as assigned.

LOCATION OF Work: 670 Harmon Avenue
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for portioning, plating, sealing and packing meals on the hot, cold, dessert, children’s meals, or hot/frozen packaging lines.  Incorporates safe food handling practices and follows standard portioning guidelines when working with food.  Responsible for packaging meals and sorting in bags/coolers according to route/site order.  Visually checks meals for completeness.  Ensures meals remain attractive and neat by using departmental packaging procedures.  Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment, pots, pans and shipping containers using established guidelines for equipment cleaning and sanitizing.  Visually inspects all items for cleanliness.

Responsible for cleaning assigned work area, equipment and utensils.  Performs janitorial duties as assigned such as emptying trash, scrubbing floors and washing walls.  Responsible for completing other departmental and agency duties as assigned.  This includes participating in departmental meetings and trainings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Completion of high school or equivalent preferred.  One year experience in large quantity institutional food service and/or institutional janitorial service. Ability to repeatedly lift bulky items weighing up to (50) fifty pounds. Good basic math and reading skills.
