JOB CLASSIFICATION: Direct Care Support (Meal Preparation)
STATUS: Full-time and Part-time
LOCATION OF WORK: HAH Department, 1699 West Mound St
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

The Direct Support Care is responsible for performing meal preparation and light housekeeping and errand services as established upon completion of the admission assessment. The services provided under the direction of the Program Director and Operations Manager and is in line with LifeCare Alliance agency program policies of practice. This position works independently with clients in conjunction with other agency staff. Work performed in this position will be of a paraprofessional and confidential nature. Work requires an attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, flexibility, and an ability to handle multiple tasks. This position will have frequent contact with agency personnel, clients, and other community agencies. A positive and cooperative image and attitude is crucial for this position. This position requires a significant amount of independence, prudent decision-making abilities, self-direction and self-discipline to accomplish its essential functions and responsibilities.

High school diploma, GED, and some nutrition background required or equivalent acceptable. Prefer two years general housekeeping and nutritional services required. Be familiar with menus, reading, writing, and Community health care service experience with culturally diverse and/or elderly population. Valid Ohio driver’s license. Vehicle available for agency use, proper auto insurance 100,000/300,000 coverage and an adequate driving record.
