How to help

Do you want to get involved with the Columbus Cancer Clinic?! Here’s how you can help!

Adopt-a-Family

The holidays are a  particularly difficult time for our patients, who are having both financial and physical health struggles. Each holiday season our patients from the Columbus Cancer Clinic and Project OpenHand are matched with generous sponsors who purchase gifts on the family’s behalf to help create everlasting memories. Sponsors provide the Columbus Cancer Clinic with their desired family size to adopt and then are matched with a family and provided a wish list created by the family. The gifts can be dropped off at the Columbus Cancer Clinic or taken to the patients homes. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor and making a huge impact in the holiday season of one of our families, please call 614-263-5006 and ask to speak with Alli Chrzanowski OR enter your name and email address below. (this would be where they can type their information and it gets sent directly to my email). You can reach out any time during the year to be put on our donor list!

Wig Room

Our wig room provides our patients with a way to get a small piece of themselves back as they are going through treatment for cancer, or shortly after finishing their treatment. The wigs are all cleaned, brushed and organized by color and style. Patients make an appointments with the clinic and then try on our gently uses wigs to find the perfect hair to fit their style and needs. Our wig room is stocked completely by donation, so we are always in need of these items:

  • Wigs (gently used, real hair, synthetic hair etc)
  • Hats, head scarves (all seasons)
  • Wig stands
  • Wig shampoo
