REPORTS TO: Food Service Director
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing supervisory and administrative functions in the food production facility. The Operations Manager will direct Food Service Workers on assigned tasks, which include but are not limited to receiving, storing, cooking, portioning, packing and distributing foods. Work performed in this position will be of professional and sometimes confidential in nature. Work requires attention to detail, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple functions at one time. This position will have frequent contact with agency personnel, clients and other supporters of the agency. A positive and cooperative image and attitude is crucial for this position. This position requires a significant amount of independence, self-direction and self-discipline to accomplish the essential functions and responsibilities. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Food Service Director.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors’ degree in food management, nutrition or dietetics; RD, LD preferred. Serve Safe certification required, one year supervisory or related experience required. Large volume food service experience preferred. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel required. Valid Ohio driver’s license and vehicle available for agency use required.
