Kitchen Supervisor

This position is responsible for performing supervisory functions in the food production facility. This position will be hands on requiring 6–7 hours per shift working on the portioning line and in production.

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing supervisory functions in the food production facility. This position will be hands on requiring 6–7 hours per shift working on the portioning line and in production. The supervisor will direct food production employees on assigned tasks, such as receiving, storing, cooking, portioning, packing and shipping meals. The supervisor will be assist with scheduling, hiring, training, documenting, and evaluating employees. Ensures meals produced and packaged meet quality standards. Ensures food safety and sanitation procedures are adhered to in the department. Work performed in this position will be of professional and sometimes confidential nature. Work requires attention to detail, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple functions at one time. This position will have frequent contact with agency personnel, clients and other supporters of the agency. A positive and cooperative image and attitude is crucial for this position. Work is performed under the general supervision of an Operations Manager. This position requires a significant amount of independence, self-direction and self-discipline to accomplish the essential functions and responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Serve Safe Level II Certification. One year supervisory experience required. Prefer large volume food service experience.
