JOB CLASSIFICATION: Development Associate
STATUS: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
LOCATION OF WORK: 1699 W. Mound St.
REPORTS TO: Director of Advancement
This position will work primarily with agency volunteers, but gain valuable experience in all aspects of agency development. This position will have frequent contact with donors, volunteers, clients and Agency personnel. Work requires attention to detail, knowledge of special events, strong writing, graphic and communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. This position is responsible for performing administrative and database management functions for the donor, client and volunteer databases. This position requires a professional demeanor at all times to project a positive image that is crucial to the success of the Agency. Work performed in this position will be of a professional and confidential nature. Work requires an understanding of general office practices and an understanding of the agency, its programs, and fundraising revenue. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Advancement and in cooperation with other agency personnel. This position will require a significant amount of independence and self-direction to accomplish its essential functions and responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least one year of office managerial experience, excellent customer service and communication skills, proficient knowledge of computer operations and programs. Data entry skill using a variety of programs also needed.
