Congregate Dining Centers

More than just a meal!
People aged 60 or over can join us for a nutritious lunch at one of our Congregate Dining Centers located throughout Franklin and Madison counties. We also provide Southeast and Central Asian cusine, as well as Somali cuisine, at a variety of locations throughout Franklin County. Click on the above link for specific center location details. And for more information on the meals served at our congregate dining sites, please see our Monthly Menus.
Lunches are available to participants aged 60 and over for a $1.50 suggested contribution, and door-to-door transportation is available for a $1.25 suggested contribution to many of our centers. Although we receive funding from the United Way of Central Ohio and various other sources, your financial contribution is always welcome!
And we provide more than just a meal at our Congregate Dining Centers. Our sites offer you a location to visit with your neighbors and friends, as well as an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities:
  • Health screenings
  • Nutrition and health education
  • Social activities
  • Information and referral to community resources
See below for what some our customers are saying about us:
  • "I know that I can always get a hot meal - I live alone. And the companionship can't be beat!"
  • "I come for the friendly faces and for the good food. Keep up the good work!"
  • "I come to see the people. I am glad we have this service. Thank you!"
  • "The dining center helps me get out of the house. Keep up the good work!"

Finally, at our newest dining center, Carrie's Cafe, each month we have a wide variety of activities that bring in hundreds of people each month. Come join us for the fun. Transportation is available.

Client Feature
Here's a poem from one of our Dining Center clients:
I am thinking big for this coming year
because of the meetings going on
Over here on Harmon Avenue with all of the
top personal staff that’s here to support
There are companies in programs who serve a lot of surrounding areas
That’s the reason why I am thinking about Carrie’s Café.
Here on 670 Harmon Ave in the greatest state,
which is Columbus, Ohio. Which is the best of the best.
