About Meals-on-Wheels
Meals-on-Wheels provides hot nutritious meals to older adults and chronically ill persons who are unable to provide meals for themselves. Our caring volunteers and staff deliver meals to the home 365 days a year. This "daily check" gives peace of mind to both recipients and their loved ones. Convenient weekly delivery of frozen meals is avaialable for those who may have frequent medical appointments and treatments.

Who We Serve

LifeCare Alliance is proud to assist individuals who are 60 years of age or older, homebound and who reside in Franklin, Marion and  Madison counties. We also serve chronically ill individuals who are under the age of 60, if they qualify.

It's All About Choice

LifeCare Alliance offers a wide variety of menu options:

  • Hot Entree of the day

  • Deli-style boxed lunch

  • Vegetarian entrees

  • Texture modifications: pureed and mechanical soft

  • Kosher entrees

NEW!  Frozen Choice meal program.  Participants can select their entrees, snacks, beverages, fruits and breads from a wide variety of choices.  See sample menu in the Senior Menu box to your left. Please call for more information.

All meals meet 1/3 of the daily nutritional needs of an older adult, and are a tasty combination of lean meats, vegetables, fruits, starches and dairy products.

Becoming a Client

Intake information and screening is completed via the telephone. Most decisions on service starts are made at that time or within five business days. Services for hot meal delivery can begin next day if application is processed by noon. Frozen meal delivery service will begin the following week after if the application process. Hot daily meals can be delivered until frozen meal delivery starts. Meals are delivered in an emergency within 24 hours. Please call (614)278-3130 to begin the intake process.

Senior Monthly Menus

Our menus are planned by our chefs in conjunction with one of our registered dietitians. Please see our Monthly Menus.
