Hot, nutritious lunches are delivered to homebound older adults and the chronically ill 365 days a year. Frozen meals are also provided for those who can safely heat them, allowing flexibility for doctor appointments and personal mealtime preferences.
Columbus Cancer Clinic
The Columbus Cancer Clinic is a Medicare certified service, providing education about cancer prevention and early detection, head-to-toe cancer screening examinations and mammograms, regardless of the client's ability to pay.
Provides homemaking and personal care services to older adults and the chronically ill, helping them to live independently in their own homes with the assistance of our programs.
IMPACT Safety has been serving the community for 18 years, by developing and teaching interpersonal safety skills to a wide range of populations including women, youth, those with disabilities, the elderly, and professionals in the workplace.
Since 1898, visiting nurses provide care to meet the each individual's unique health needs. That service continues today through our Wellness Center registered nurses and dietitians and includes linking individuals to other health care providers, as needed.
Project OpenHand-Columbus provides home-delivered nutritionally enriched meals, pantry items, nutritional supplements, nutritional assessments, counseling and a congregate meal program to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Central Ohio.
Senior Wellness Centers are located in senior centers and senior residences across Franklin County. The goal of the Wellness Center is to help each client achieve his or her optimal level of good health. A variety of services are available, including physical assessments and screening tests such as blood sugar, urinalysis, cholesterol, and anemia evaluations.
The Wellness Centers registered nurse specializes in the care of older adults and is trained in helping their clients manage chronic diseases.
Senior Dining Centers
In more than two dozen locations across Central Ohio, the Senior Community Centers provide added benefits of a hot nutritious lunch, socialization, activities, and a connection to the community. Transportation is provided to most Senior Community Centers.
