Immunizations at LifeCare Alliance

Immunizations will be given at LifeCare Alliance, 1699 West Mound Street BY APPOINTMENT by calling 614-437-2880.

Adult immunization is often overlooked and the lack of immunization can lead to serious health problems. Many adults are not even aware that they still need immunizations. As adults we make sure our children are protected but we neglect to take care of our own immunization needs. The typical immunizations adults require include the following:

• yearly flu shot to protect against influenza
• tetanus/diphtheria booster every 10 years ( if you have completed the 3 basic tetanus-diphtheria series, if not you should complete the series)
• hepatitis A (for those at risk)
• hepatitis B (for those at risk)
• pneumococcal shot (one time for all individuals age 65 and older) (for people younger than 65 who have certain chronic illnesses)
• meningococcal (for those at risk) (young adults going to college)
• travel vaccinations (as recommended)
  

The LifeCare Alliance adult immunization program provides immunizations to adults only, on a seasonal or year round basis depending on the type of vaccine and vaccine availability.
