Therapists

Physical and Occupational Therapy services are available to assist patients in regaining, maintaining their strength and independence.

Physical Therapists provide exercise programs and assistance for the strengthening of large muscles, improving balance and gait. They prepare an in-home exercise program to maintain functionality, reviewing the plan with patient and family.

Occupational Therapists evaluate the patient's ability to perform Activities of Daily Living and work with the patient and family to achieve the highest level of independence possible. The Occupational Therapist suggests self-help aids to improve function.

The Physical and Occupational Therapists will order supplies and equipment based on the orders from the patient's physician. They have knowledge of coverage of these items by the patient's insurance plan or other community resources if there is no insurance coverage.
