Respite Care

These services assist mentally and/or physically impaired adults maintain or improve their level of functioning. The program also assists family members and other caregivers who are responsible for older adults who cannot be left alone during the day, and yet does not require 24-hour nursing care in an institution.

Enrolled as space permits with preference given to Franklin County Residents

• 60 years or older
• Meet funder guidelines
• Private pay invited

LifeCare Alliance Day Caregiver Program Social Adult Day Respite Model

Provides a program of social, recreational, health activities and services in a group setting that:

• Helps mentally and/or physically impaired adults to maintain or improve their level of functioning in order to remain in the community.
• Offers participants the opportunity to socialize, enjoy peer support and receive some health and social services in a stimulating and supportive environment that promotes better physical and mental health.
• Provides assistance to families and other caregivers that have responsibility for an older adult who cannot be left alone during the day and yet does not require 24-hour nursing care in an institution.
• Serves an integral part of the community service network and long-term care continuum.

The following is a list of services that will be provided by the caregiver program:
